Goforth Lewis

Goforth Lewis is a civil litigation firm, located in central Houston, focusing on products liability, commercial litigation and creditor rights. The firm was established in January 1989 by Daniel O. Goforth and Carlene R. Lewis. Both were formerly with the Houston firm of Sewell & Riggs.

At Goforth Lewis we use our extensive courtroom experience to aggressively pursue our cases and provide our clients with zealous representation. Goforth Lewis is a trial firm and our lawyers are regularly in the courtroom in front of judges and juries. We represent businesses and individuals, plaintiffs and defendants. Our attorneys have handled and tried scores of cases involving such matters as corporate disputes, protecting creditors' rights, consumer and commercial affairs, oil and gas litigation, catastrophic injury, mass torts, employment law and insurance disputes. We understand and participate in the complexities of the trial court system.

Today, three lawyers comprise the legal force at Goforth Lewis. Daniel O. Goforth, a founding member of the firm, is certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in personal injury trial law and is a veteran of numerous trials. Kate Harrison Easterling worked as a law clerk at Goforth Lewis throughout law school and joined the firm as an associate in 2006. Brooke Geren joined Goforth Lewis in 2010 after working in the litigation department of Baker Botts for several years.

Because of the firm's size, each lawyer maintains a working familiarity with all cases. They are supported by a staff of paralegals, legal assistants and clerks. Thus, each case is afforded the specialized attention of the lawyers to whom it is assigned, as well as the personal consideration and resources of everyone in the firm.
